7th Trampoline Asian Championships Set to Return to Hong Kong, China on 23–24 May 2026
Hong Kong, China – April 2026: The 7th Trampoline Asian Championships 2026 will take place at Runway 11, AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, China, on 23–24 May 2026, bringing together some of Asia’s leading trampoline gymnasts for a major continental competition and a key qualification event for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.
Sanctioned by the Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU) and World Gymnastics, and organised by The Gymnastics Association of Hong Kong, China, the Championships will welcome around 200 gymnasts from 10 countries and regions, including Chinese Mainland; Hong Kong, China; Democratic People’s Republic of Korea; India; Iran; Japan; Kazakhstan; Philippines; Tajikistan; and Uzbekistan.
The event will feature top-level competition across trampoline disciplines, with Men’s and Women’s Synchronised Trampoline introduced for the first time at this edition. Running alongside the senior Championships will be the 7th Junior Trampoline Asian Championships and the 2nd Asian Trampoline Age Group Competition, creating a comprehensive platform for youth, junior, and senior gymnasts to compete, develop, and exchange experience.
As the Championships serve as a qualification pathway for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, participating teams are expected to field strong line-ups, setting the stage for an exciting and highly competitive event.
Host delegation Hong Kong, China will compete on home soil with a squad of 13 gymnasts, led by LIU Jennifer, who finished fourth in the women’s individual trampoline event at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games. The team recently completed an intensive training camp in Chinese Mainland as part of its final preparations.
The Chinese Mainland team is also expected to feature leading names, including WANG Zisai, winner of the men’s individual gold medal at the 2026 FIG Trampoline World Cup in Alkmaar, Netherlands, as well as gold medallist at the 2025 FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships and silver medallist at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Hon. Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, BBS, JP, President of The Gymnastics Association of Hong Kong, China, welcomed the return of the Championships to Hong Kong, China, highlighting the city’s growing role as a host of major international sporting events.
“Securing the right to host a top-tier Asian sporting event is never an easy task. Through the unity, passion and perseverance of everyone at The Gymnastics Association of Hong Kong, China, Hong Kong has successfully become the host city of this premier Asian trampoline event for the second time in a row,” he said.
He added that the event will offer athletes and guests from across Asia the opportunity to experience Hong Kong’s energy, international outlook, and capacity to host major sporting events.
The Championships will be open to the public with free admission. Qualification rounds and the Opening Ceremony will take place on 23 May, while the Finals and Prize Presentation Ceremony will be held on 24 May.
