AGU Common Training Camp for ACRO Coaches Wraps Up in Dushanbe, Tajikistan
The AGU Common Training Camp for ACRO Coaches was successfully held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan from July 14 to 20, 2025. Hosted by the Gymnastics Federation of Tajikistan and supported by the Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU), the event brought together 27 passionate coaches and athletes from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Iran, creating a vibrant environment for learning and growth in acrobatic gymnastics.
A Week of Learning and Connection Over the course of the week, participants took part in a diverse and engaging program. The sessions covered everything from the new FIG 2025–2028 ACRO Code of Points, to safety techniques, injury prevention, and physical conditioning. The camp also provided valuable opportunities for coaches and athletes to connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships across borders.
Expert Guidance and Interactive Sessions The camp was expertly led by Irina Nikitina, who shared her extensive knowledge and experience with the attendees. The hands-on exercises, combined with theoretical discussions, made for an engaging and practical learning experience. Highlights included presentations on new trends in ACRO, and in-depth discussions on psychological training and the strategic development of acrobatic gymnastics.
A Heartfelt Conclusion As the camp came to a close on July 19, participants were awarded certificates of participation, and Irina Nikitina received a Certificate of Appreciation for her exceptional contributions. The feedback from all delegates was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their satisfaction with the training and emphasizing the importance of continuing such events in the future.
