Asian Artistic Gymnastics Training Camp Wraps Up in Nanning, Strengthening Regional Cooperation
Nanning, China | December 20, 2025 The Asian Artistic Gymnastics Training Camp, held alongside the China–ASEAN Artistic Gymnastics Training Camp, officially concluded in Nanning, Guangxi, after ten days of comprehensive training, technical education, and cultural exchange.
Organized by the Asian Gymnastics Union in cooperation with the Gymnastics Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Sports Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the camp was hosted at the Jiangnan Training Base. The event formed part of the Asian Gymnastics Union’s ongoing efforts to strengthen high-performance development and cooperation across Asia.
The camp brought together gymnasts, coaches, and team officials from multiple Asian and ASEAN federations, alongside participants from the Chinese National Youth Team and the Guangxi provincial team. Daily training programs covered all men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics apparatuses and focused on technical refinement, skill development, physical conditioning, and safe training methodologies.

Training sessions were delivered by a high-level panel of experts, including senior national team coaches, Olympic champions, and internationally recognized specialists. The program also incorporated physical fitness activation, dance and movement training, and apparatus-specific workshops, providing participants with a holistic and modern training experience.
In addition to on-the-floor training, the camp featured cultural, educational, and recreational activities, including visits to local landmarks and cultural institutions. These activities were designed to enhance mutual understanding, encourage dialogue between federations, and strengthen long-term regional cooperation through sport.
Held under the theme “Vibrant Asia, Gymnastics Together,” the camp highlighted the growing role of Asia as a hub for gymnastics development and knowledge exchange. The Asian Gymnastics Union emphasized that such training camps remain a strategic priority, contributing to athlete development pathways, coach education, and the overall elevation of artistic gymnastics standards across the continent.
