China pick two golds in MAG individual events
DOHA (QAT) AGU Office: China’s Lan Xingyu picked up the gold in the men’s ring final at the 8th Senior ART Asian Championships in Ulanbaatar (Mongolia) on Friday.
Lan tallied 15.133 points while People Republic of Korea’s Jong Ryong Il finished second (14.767) followed by Iran’s Ahmad Kohani Mahdi (14.533).
But the biggest upset was recorded in the MAG pommel horse where Chinese Taipei’s Lee Chih-Kai (14.000), who won the bronze at last year’s FIG ART World Championships, finished seventh.
The competition was won by Jordan’s Abu Al Soud Ahmed (14.900).
Keikha Saeedreza (IRI, 14.567) and Liu Rongbing (CHN, 14.433) finished second and third respectively.
China picked up their second gold in the MAG individual finals with Yang Jiaxing (14.533) winning the Floor title though he finished with the same points with Kazakhstan’s Karimi Milad.
Fudono Daisuke (JPN) claimed the bronze with 14.400 points.
