Double Gold for Japan’s Juniors in Jecheon

Jecheon, Korea – June 13, 2025 It was a golden day for Japan at the 18th Junior Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships, as their junior team clinched first place in team qualifications, and their gymnasts dominated the All-Around Final.

In the team event, Japan set the bar high with a total score of 152.897, comfortably taking the top spot thanks to composed and polished routines from TOBI Minami, SARADA Ayu, MUNETA Rinon, and TOGO Nanami.

Korea delighted the home crowd with a strong performance that earned them silver (137.966), while Hong Kong, China secured the bronze (137.531) after a tight contest.

Later in the All-Around Final, it was all about Japan once again. TOBI Minami delivered four strong routines to claim the gold medal with a score of 51.166. Teammate SARADA Ayu followed closely behind for silver (50.466), and the bronze went to the Philippines’ ANTOINE Elisabeth, whose composed and expressive performance earned her a total of 48.599.

With powerful showings across the board, the future of women’s gymnastics in Asia looks promising — and Japan’s next generation has made it clear they’re ready to lead the charge.
