Double Gold for Takhmina Ikromova at Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup
29 April 2024,Uzbekistan -Uzbekistan’s own Takhmina Ikromova made an impressive mark at the recent World Cup in Tashkent, taking home two gold medals in rhythmic gymnastics. On the final day of competition, Ikromova dazzled the judges and the audience with her skill and artistry, securing first place in both the Hoop and Ball events.
In the Hoop final, Ikromova scored an exceptional 35.500, edging out Germany’s Darja Varfolomeev, who scored 35.300, and Bulgaria’s Boryana Kaleyn, who finished with 34.750. The home crowd erupted with cheers as Ikromova’s flawless routine earned her the top spot on the podium.
Ikromova continued her winning streak in the Ball final, achieving a score of 34.900. She narrowly beat out Varfolomeev once again, who scored 34.700, while Germany’s Margarita Kolosov secured third place with a score of 33.600.
In the Clubs final, she placed second with a score of 34.550, just behind Darja Varfolomeev’s 35.750. In the Ribbon final, Ikromova claimed another silver medal with a score of 32.950, once again behind Varfolomeev’s 33.450.

When asked about her success, Ikromova expressed her gratitude to her coaches, teammates, and supporters, stating, “I’m thrilled to have achieved these results here in Tashkent. The support from the home crowd has been incredible, and I couldn’t have done it without my team’s hard work and encouragement.”
