Historic Debut of 6th Trampoline Asian Championships 2024 in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, May 11, 2024- Today, the Gymnastics Association of Hong Kong, China proudly inaugurates the “6th Trampoline Asian Championships 2024” in Hong Kong. Supported by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the HKSAR Government, this landmark event has received official authorization from the Federation Internationale De Gymnastique (FIG) and the Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU).

Bringing together over 120 elite trampoline athletes from 12 Asian countries and regions, this championship promises a showcase of exceptional skills and talent. Hosted at the Tsuen Wan Sports Centre on May 11th and 12th, it offers a thrilling opportunity for sports enthusiasts to witness the pinnacle of trampoline gymnastics in Asia.

In his opening speech, Hon Kenneth Fok, JP, President of the Gymnastics Association of Hong Kong, China, highlighted the event’s significance in strengthening cooperation among Asian trampoline sports. He emphasized the collective elevation of the sport’s level and quality through the exchange of skills and talents among athletes from across Asia.

Supported by various organizations, including the Arts and Sport Development Fund (ASDF) of the HKSAR Government, the championship has garnered significant attention and sponsorship, ensuring its smooth conduct and global appeal.

The “6th Trampoline Asian Championships 2024” features competitions across three categories: the Senior Asian Championships, Junior Asian Championships, and the Asian Trampoline Age Group Competition. Among the participants representing Hong Kong are trampoline athletes Liu Kit Ying Jennifer, Lee Kwun Wai, and Lai Shun Hey Marcus.

This inaugural event not only celebrates trampoline sports but also showcases Hong Kong’s status and strength in the international sports arena, promising an unforgettable experience for athletes and spectators alike.
