Jecheon Finals Highlight Olfati’s Power, Yulo’s Precision, Tang’s Flight, and Oka’s Elegance

Jecheon, South Korea – June 8, 2025 The final day of the 12th Senior Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships wrapped up in spectacular fashion, with Asia’s finest gymnasts lighting up the arena in Jecheon. Across the apparatus finals, the level of competition was fierce, and the performances left the crowd in awe.

Vault Final: Olfati Strikes Gold

Iran’s Mahdi Olfati made a statement on vault with two powerful and clean performances. His standout effort was a high-difficulty Yurchenko double tuck with a full twist, which earned him an impressive 14.666, leading to a combined total of 14.500 and the gold medal.
Close behind were China’s Huang Mingqi and the Philippines’ Carlos Yulo, who both delivered sharp routines and tied for silver with a score of 14.400. Yulo’s vaults were packed with execution and confidence, placing him among the top contenders once again.

Parallel Bars: Double Delight for Japan

Japan dominated the Parallel Bars final, with Oka Shinnosuke claiming gold after an elegant and technically sound routine scored 14.700. His teammate Tsunogai Tomoharu wasn’t far behind, taking silver with 14.466.
The ever-consistent Carlos Yulo added another medal to his collection, finishing third with a clean and controlled routine that earned 14.166 for the Philippines.

Horizontal Bar: Tang Chia-Hung Flies High

On Horizontal Bar, it was Chinese Taipei’s Tang Chia-Hung who stole the show. With big release moves and rock-solid landings, he soared to gold with a stunning 15.233 – the highest score of the day. Japan’s Tsunogai continued his impressive run with another silver (14.700), while China’s Tian Hao completed the podium, also with 14.700 but edged to bronze on tie-break.
