2025 Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships Kick Off in Dynamic Jecheon
Jecheon, South Korea – June 2, 2025 Jecheon rolled out the red carpet for Asia’s gymnastics community on Monday evening as the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships officially got underway with an orientation meeting at the scenic Cheongpung Lake Hotel.
Delegates from 20 Asian federations gathered to mark the start of the 18th Junior and 12th Senior Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Championships, which will be held from June 5 to 8 in the vibrant Korean city.

The evening opened with welcome remarks from Mr. JUNG In Geun, Vice President of the Korea Gymnastics Association, and Mr. OH Jae Seong, President of the Jecheon Gymnastics Association, who proudly addressed participants on behalf of the host city.
Speaking on behalf of the Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU), Mr. Ali Al Hitmi, FIG First Vice President and AGU Executive Committee Member praised the organizers and emphasized the unifying spirit of this year’s theme: “One Dream, One Asia – In Dynamic Jecheon.”
Attendees were then briefed by AGU officials on all technical and logistical matters ahead of competition. Mr. Han Yoon Soo, President of AGU Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee, led the technical briefing, outlining key rules and updates. He was joined by Mr. Serge Van Poelvoorde, AGU Technical Manager, and Mrs. Nada Alatrash, AGU Communication & Media Manager, who provided media and communication guidelines.
The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) also walked participants through competition schedules, training logistics, accommodation arrangements, and venue details, ensuring all delegations are well-prepared ahead of Thursday’s opening competitions.
The Men’s Artistic Gymnastics event will run until June 8 at the Jecheon Gymnasium, followed by the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) competition from June 12 to 15.
With world-class athletes, state-of-the-art facilities, and strong local support, the 2025 Championships promise to be a celebration of athletic excellence, cultural exchange, and continental unity—all set against the dynamic backdrop of Jecheon.
