Kuala Lumpur to host senior & junior Rhythmic Asian Championships from April 29
Doha (Qatar), AGU Office: The 10th Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships, which will feature 18 teams, will be held at the Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from April 29 to May 3.
The tournament will feature gymnasts from China, Japan, Thailand, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, People’s Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Singapore, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, India, Indonesia and Kyrgyzstan.
Those born in 2002 or before are eligible to participate in the competition.
The group qualifications (5 hoops, 3 balls + 2 ropes) will be held from April 29 to 30 and the finals on May 1 and 2 respectively while the individual all-around finals will be on May 1.
Meanwhile, the 16th Junior Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships will be held simultaneously on the same dates.
The competition will be held in individuals including hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon and groups.
A total 17 countries including heavyweights China, Japan, Thailand, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, People’s Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Singapore, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, India, Kyrgyzstan have confirmed their entries.
