Malaysia share men’s pommel horse gold

AGU Media, DOHA (QAT): Selangor-born Tan Fu Jie, who received a surprise call-up to the national team, and Jeremiah Loo Phay Xing ended the host’s 12-year gold at the SEA Games by sharing the men’s individual pommel horse apparatus in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Tuesday.
They had an identical 13.650 points while Thailand’s Jamorn Prommanee (13.250) came third.
Ng Shu Wai had won the all-around and horizontal bar golds while Malaysia added the team title at the 2005 Games in Manila, the Philippines.
At the Singapore Games two years ago, Malaysia had won only a silver when Jeremiah finished second in the men’s individual horizontal bar.
Reyland Yuson Capellan of the Philippines collected 13.950
points to win the floor exercise title followed by Malaysia’s Zul Bahrin Mat Asri (13.750) and Thailand’s Tikumporn Surintornta (13.600).
Vietnam’s Dang Nam and Pham Phuoc Hung won gold and silver in the men’s ring apparatus while Indonesia’s Dwi Samsul Arifin came third.
