The results of the 11th Juniors Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships 2010

RG_Japan_Group_UZB-2010February 19, 2010, Tashkent – The 11th Asian Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastics, which was held in Tashkent between February 14-20, finished with an absolute victory of the Uzbek gymnast Aziza Mamadjanova, who won 3 gold and 1 silver medals in individual performances, as well, she was qualified for the first Youth Olympic Games (to be held in Singapore, in August 2010).
Overall, a total of 5 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals have been won by Uzbek gymnasts, 3 silvers and 3 bronzes by Kazakhstan gymnasts, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes by China, 2 silvers by Malaysia and 3 gold medals by Japan.
Also the gymnast from Kazakhstan Yuliya Kizima in individual performances, as well as Japan group were qualified for the first Youth Olympic Games.
“All of us – your loved ones, coaches and the whole country, are proud of you and your victory, which has once again confirmed the high authority of the Uzbek school of gymnastics! I believe that we will celebrate your glittering and outstanding performances on many more occasions in future. I wish Aziza heading straight towards the Olympic victory!” said Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva, the President of the Gymnastics Federation of Uzbekistan and Representative of Uzbekistan to UNESCO, congratulating Uzbek gymnasts.
High appraise to winner gymnasts and organizational level was given by the main Judge of the Championship, a member of FIG Technical Committee Noha Abou Shabana (Egypt). At the first day of the tournament, at a news-conference, which involved the President of AGU A-Rahman Al-Shathri, Yousef Al-Tabbaa and Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva the Olympic champions of Uzbekistan on gymnastics, she already marked out gymnasts of Uzbekistan, Japan, Kazakhstan and China.  
A total of  50 gymnasts from 10 Asian countries – Kazakhstan, China, Korea, Kirgizstan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and Uzbekistan participated at the Championships. As well, active participation at the event was taken by the President of AGU A-Rahman Al-Shathri, visiting our country for the second time.
The closing ceremony of the Championships was held on February 19, as part of which the gymnasts from participating countries performed exhibition performances. The ceremony started with awarding the medals to individual gymnasts, as well as traditional parade of gymnasts. The gold medal winner Aziza Mamadjanova was awarded by Karimova-Tillyaeva, silver medalist Yuliya Kizima, was awarded by the Mayer of Tashkent, while bronze medalist Yuliya Semenova, was awarded by Noha Abu Shabana.
