Yue, Takhmina share individual honours on final day
DOHA (QAT) AGU Office: Yue Zhao of China and Uzbekistan’s Takhmina Ikromova shared the individual apparatus final honours in Clubs and Ribbon respectively at the 17th Junior Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Pattaya (Thailand) on Sunday.
Yue took the honours with 16,350 points. Sabina Bakatova (KAZ, 16,200) and Hisano Taguchi (JPN. 15,750) won the silver and bronze medals.
A total of 15 teams took part in the four-day event which was held simultaneously with the senior tournament and featured team and individual competitions.
In Apparatus Final Individuals (Ribbon), Takhmina tallied 15,300 points for the top honour while Lee Yewon (KOR, 14,800) and Elzhana Taniyeva (KAZ, 14,700) finished second and third respectively.
Kazakhstan, who won the overall team competition on Saturday, annexed the Apparatus Team Finals (5 RIBBONS) with 15,000 points. They were followed by Uzbekistan (14,650) and Malaysia (13,000).
