COMMON TRAINING CAMP FOR CENTRAL SOUTH ASIA ZONE IN INDIA
AGU Office, Doha (QAT) December 9, 2010:Gymnastics Federation of India conducted a Common Training Camp for Men’s Artistic Gymnastics coaches for Central South Asia Zone at Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge Pune, India during the period 6th to 11th December 2010 under Asian Gymnastics Union’s development project for the year 2010. Coaches and gymnasts from Sri Lanka and India participated in this camp with a total of 8 coaches & 8 gymnasts. The practical sessions were held in the Gymnasium at Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge Pune, India, which is well equipped with Janssen & Fritsen, Gymnova and its required allied apparatuses. The camp was directed by Expert Mr. Zambri Zainal Abidin from Malaysia. Main emphasis was given on technique of training and technique of execution of a gymnastics skill during the training. The schedule of the camp was as follows:
8.30 am to 10.30 am (Warm up, General Flexibility, Conditioning lower limbs, Trampolining)
10.45 am to 12.30 pm (Apparatus Training, Applied Trampolining, Dynamic stretch, Mental preparation, Twisting technique, warm down & video Swing )
12.30 pm to 2.30 pm Lunch Break, 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm (Warm up, Apparatus training, Twisting Technique, Video swing)
4.45 pm to 6.30 pm (Strength conditioning, landing technique, Video Strength, Warm down)
8.00 pm to 9.30 pm Dinner
