Singapore Gymnastics host FIG Level 2 Coach Academy
AGU Media, DOHA (QAT): Singapore Gymnastics (SG) recently hosted the inaugural Artistic Gymnastics (ART) Federation Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) Level 2 Coach Academy from November 4-12.
“We are extremely privileged to have experts Chris Evans (Course Leader), Eddie Van Hoof, Eric Boucharin and Anastasia Umeh from Great Britain, Canada, France and Australia respectively to share their wealth of knowledge with the 24 participants,” said a SG press release.
The level 2 Academy consisted of two parts — practical and theory segments and covered a spectrum of sport-science topics, ranging from biomechanics to physiology, anatomy and sport psychology.
To put their knowledge to the test, participants took a theory and practical exam on the last day of the course.
Van Hoof was the course presenter for MAG participants while Boucharin and Umeh hosted the WAG participants.
