AGU Executive Committee Meeting – Tehran (IRI), 18/4/2009

The Executive Committee meeting was organized in Tehran / IRAN on 18/4/2009, the majority of the members was present to the meeting and was surprised with the wonderful hospitality and a successful organization of the meeting by the Gymnastics Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and his President Mr. Ahmed Mohtashami – EC member and President of the West Asian Gymnastics Zone.
AGU President Mr. Al-Shathri honored Mr. Ahmed Mohtashami President of the West Asian Gymnastics Zone, Mr. Sawat Sopa President of the South East Asian Gymnastics Zone and the President of the Hong, Kong Federation for their effort to develop gymnastics during the last period. 
* The Executive unanimously approved the following:
– The 2009 accounts
– AGU development project program for the year 2009.
– Elevate the former AGU President Mr. Hidenori Futagi to the rank of Honorary President.
– AGU fixed 4 months as deadline to the Federations which did not pay the freight costs of the donated Janssen & Fritsen equipments, otherwise the equipments will be donated to another Federation.
– 4th Seniors Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships will be organized in Astana / KAZ during the period 15-21/10/2009.
– 11th Juniors Rhythmic Gymnastic Asian Championships will be organized in Tashkent / UZB during the period 14-20/02/2010 (Qualify for the Youth Olympic Games 2010).
– 11th Juniors Artistic Gymnastic Asian Championships will be organized in Tokyo / JPN during the period 13-16/03/2010 (Qualify for the Youth Olympic Games 2010).
– Trampoline and Acrobatic Gymnastics Asian Championships will be organized in Astana / KAZ in March 2010 (date will be fixed later) (TRA qualify to the Youth Olympic Games 2010).
– 3rd Asian Gymnaeastrada will be organized during May 2010 in Hong Kong, China (date will be fixed later).
– 16th Asian Games will be organized in Guangzhou / CHN during 12-27/11/2010 and contain 4 Olympic Gymnastics disciplines in their program (MAG – WAG – RG & TRA).
– Unification the names of the AGU zones as the following:
•East Asian Gymnastics Zone.
•South East Asian Gymnastics Zone.
•Central Asian Gymnastics Zone.
•West Asian Gymnastics Zone.
