Rhythmic Gymnastics Team Competition Asian Games 2010

 

podium-rg-team-final-asian-games-2010DOHA (QAT), AGU Office, November 25, 2010: The Rhythmic Gymnastics Team ofKazakhstan wins today the team final during the Asian Games Guangzhou 2010, the same team finished sixth in this year’s World Championships in Moscow (RUS) this year.

The Kazak Team, composed of 2010 World Championship participants Anna Alyabyeva, Mizana Ismailova, Madina Mukanova and Marina Petrakova, garnered a 271.050 point total that placed them significantly ahead of the field. Uzbekistan took the Silver with a score of 259.350, followed by Japan in third (256.450).

Other countries participating in the Team competition were Korea, China, Thailand and Kyrgyzstan.

In a competition featuring 30 gymnasts from 10 countries, Anna Alyabyeva (KAZ) qualified at the top for the Individual All-around Final scheduled in the Asian Games Town Gymnasium on Friday. With 85.250 points, she currently sits comfortably ahead of her competitors, followed by Ulyana Trofimova of Uzbekistan (81.100) and her team-mate Marina Petrakova (79.950).
